About Me

I have held an unwavering belief since I first entered the field of education: all students belong, and it is our purpose as educators to nurture each child’s unique gifts and talents. Ross Greene, a well-known and respected child psychologist, states, “Kids do well if they can.” This statement is at the core of my work with others and serves as an imperative for the families who entrust us with their children’s education.

I've worked in MAUSD since 2006, previously as the Director of Student Services and now as the Early Intervention & Prevention Coordinator supporting families and schools in Section 504 coordination, transitional housing needs, and systems work. Prior to coming to MAUSD, I was a middle school special educator in Hawaii and Texas. I've also had the pleasure of supporting preservice teachers at Texas A&M University, the College of Saint Joseph, the University of Vermont and the Higher Education Collaborative.

Today, I feel deeply grateful for both my personal and professional life. My husband and I have built a home in Vermont from the ground up, where we raised our three children, all of whom have received their foundational education in MAUSD. Professionally, I am fortunate to work alongside passionate and talented educators within a community of families who care deeply about their children.
