Overview

MAUSD is committed to “shaping our future together” We serve approximately 1,200 preschool through 12th grade students in 5 schools across four communities: Bristol, Monkton, New Haven and Starksboro Vermont. We employ close to a 500 teachers and staff and operate with a $35 million-plus budget.

Our school system exists to educate the children of Mount Abraham Unified School District's four towns, so that they can meet the challenges of lifelong learners and responsible citizens at a cost deemed acceptable by the community.

Further, the board is committed to equity in outcomes for each student so that students' achievement of the ENDS is not limited to or predetermined by characteristics such as family economics, ethnicity, race, religion, class, geography, disability, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or initial proficiencies.
